Giving back to the community is so important, if you are in a position to do so. It's very easy to make giving back a part of your legacy as well. The United Way Legacy Society is a simple way to leave a lasting gift after your passing that can benefit so many people in the community. It's fairly simple to contact an estate planning attorney and ask them to include United Way of the Plains as one of your beneficiaries. Even if a person only designates United Way of the Plains for a small percentage of their estate, it would be a very meaningful gift to those in need. If you don't have a will or estate plan, it's a good excuse to put one in place. I appreciate that United Way of the Plains established the Legacy Society and made is easy for me to be a part of it.
